Enough Anticipation

About a week ago, I announced that something special had just been shipped to my house. It arrived at 9 AM on Thursday morning. I was still sleeping, when a family member came in my room yelling “it’s here!” I woke right up, opened up the clever and sophisticated packaging, and set up my brand new Apple 17″ PowerBook G4 on my desk, just a few feet away from my now miniscule looking PC display. Of course, I immediately began playing around with it, importing all of my CDs, browsing through the Apple Music Store, and planning out the next few months using iCal.

If you read the previous entry, you already know what happened next. As I sat in front of my few-hours-old toy, the lights slowly began to fade until the only living things left in my room were my PowerBook and I. About an hour and a half later, the batter of my PowerBook died. Yuck. You can imagine why the twenty-some hour blackout really made me lose it.

Fast forward a few days, and here I am typing this very entry on my new piece of luxury technology. I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to work between it and my PC, which is currently in a coma (again, see previous entry). But, until it wakes up, I’ll be reporting from the new toy. Ciao!
