Back from the Rockies

After a much-needed break from the computer, I have returned from Colorado. I visited Denver and Boulder, both which were beautiful, but unfortunately I left my digital camera at home, so I have no photographs to share.

I was happy to see that the computer guy had successfully repaired my PC, so now it’s back to deciding how to work between it and my new PowerBook. I figure I’ll use my PC for web design, because all of my programs, including Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, HomeSite, and TopStyle, are only Windows-compatible. To get them for my Apple, I’d have to buy them all over again, something which is not about to happen.

Therefore, I’ll keep my PowerBook handy for surfing the web (Safari), organizing my digital photographs, managing my digital music, making movies, managing my schedule and calendar, and burning CDs and DVDs. In a nutshell, my PowerBook is reserved for all the fun stuff.

I think it is a good idea to design on the windows platform (since thats the majority of folks on the web and in your case it is cost-effective).

A macintosh on the other hand (especially with the iLife and iApps) is absolutely perfect personal use.

You can work with your windows setup and after a dreary day come back and relax with your PowerBook. This is the best of both worlds scenario.
