You’ve GOT to Be Kidding

Why did someone post 90 random comments throughout my entire weblog today? Because I was just wondering…

Going through 90 entries to delete one comment from each is not something that I have time to do right now, so could the person out there with the IP address 80.58.11.45 get a life.

You’ve been comment spammed. It’s an attempt to raise page rank in their sites by linking in yours. The URL is in the name. I think it’s done by a robot, and it’s a pain to deal with. I’ve never been hit by 90 at one time. Usually 2 or 3 here or there. Jay Allen’s MT-Blacklist plugin helps a bit.

BTW, You have a gorgeous site. Great job. :-)

Hey, Judi! Yea, I’ve been comments spammed before, but only by one or two at a time. The fact that there were 90 just blew me away.

Yeah, MT-Blacklist is good. I get hit 1-3 times per day with spam, but never like this. Sorry to hear about it mate … Hopefully you don’t turn off comments!

Long Time No See First update in about a week. I’m not the only blogger that disappeared for a few days. Must be something in the air.

Mamma Mia! Wow, it has been far too long since I last updated. I should be wrapping up my college apps within the next couple weeks, so updates will begin to come at a greater frequency. Until then, here are a few things of note from across the Web.
