The Arrival of April

The Arrival of April

April is here, and already it has proven to be a beautiful one. Besides the to-be-expected spring showers, the weather has been mostly warm and partly sunny, allowing for some great photo ops.

Nature in bloom, I grabbed my Canon, slipped on some shoes, and wandered outside while the sun was closing in on the horizon. The setting sun threw some spectacular shadows and produced some really great, dramatic lighting. The result is five new photographs, beginning with “A Late Afternoon Shadow,” whose lengthy shadows were product of the low sun. Also new to the gallery is “Rejuvenation,” a macro photograph that includes a few sprouts of grass that, in actuality, were only a couple centimeters in length.

Anyways, enjoy the new photos (photography seems to be becoming the new focus of this site), and don’t forget to set your clocks forward an hour at 2 AM tonight!

i wandered here only recently, so i was under the impression that photography was one of the focuses of your site. =]. the photos are beautiful enough to warrant it, that’s for sure.
and i’m curious … your heading picture, is that a photograph that you messed around with, or was non-photo-based?

you’re lucky with your spring. *sigh* nature’s going crazy with the april fool’s idea. a week ago it was literally hot and we were sweating and now there are people wandering around in winter jackets. the flip flops’ hearts are breaking and the rain’s so cold.

Photography has always been one of my closest interests, but recently it has definitely taken the spotlight on this site. :)

The header is this photo, and I simply manipulated it a bit with Photoshop.

Sorry to hear that your spring has not been as pleasant thus far! :(

see, the reason i asked was because the stamens and pistils [i think that's what they are, the last time i studied flowers was in grade nine and i'm so old] look slightly blurred. they look very much as though they were done by watercolour.
