Hi. totally nice idea to turn the process around: normally I have the color profile first and look for matching photos. But btw: that’s a wasp (which I fear most in cause of allergic reactions if stung) ;)

Is it really? If I had known they were wasps, I may not have gotten so close. I hear that wasps don’t die after they sting you. They just sting again and again! :O

Sure it’s not a bee. Bees are a bit paunchy and fluffy (can I use these adjectives for them?). To me bees and wasps are quite harmless, unless it’s a hundred of angry ones. But I’d strongly reccomend not to deal with hornets. These are really awful. Anyways, the picture is crisp and fresh. And Adam, did you intentionally remove the fresh tints like green from the color scheme? The colors in picture (as well as in your scheme) seem quite harmonious. Would adding green to the scheme ruin the harmony?

I had trouble picking out a nice green from the photograph that wasn’t too harsh and that went well with the rest of the color scheme. Instead I went with a yellow/chartreuse color from one of the bee’s stripes.

Not to worry, a person can’t have an allergic reaction the first time they are stung. Your body needs time to build up the antibodies.

That is the kind I am allergic to, though.
