I’ve always thought that beauty and healthcare products were a great source of design inspiration. Take John Frieda’s “Brilliant Brunette” haircare line, with its metallic golds and soft brown hues, or Anthony: Logistics For Men, whose product packaging is the epitome of minimalistic design.

Dave Shea has launched “Proton,” design number four for his site. It’s very different from his old design, but not very unique overall. For me it is a somewhat uninspiring design, but with a little refinement, I imagine Dave will have it looking great.

Couldn’t agree more about the health/beauty products. I’ve used products by American Crew, BedHead, d:fi, and Fudge — and I think they all have great package designs.
