I picked up my PowerBook today, and apparently it got two new parts: a new hard drive and (I think the guy said) a new motherboard. Thanks to the 1-year warranty, everything was free and I was on my way. Now the laptop really is like brand new, seeing as the new hard drive has reset everything, from the applications to the files.
My 17″ PowerBook has only been on eBay for a day, and already it is at $1,225. Here’s the link if anyone is interested in purchasing it.

It’s too bad you’re not shipping to Europe. I’d love to have one of those. I’ll continue to watch the auction.
