Although this site was recently modified to concentrate on my photography, I still take great interest in web design and recently did some work for a friend, Marc James. His site, Sports Central, had had the same design for years, and with no CMS in the backend, Marc was forced to update his complex site by hand. New life was given to the site, including a new design, a simplified navigation structure, and a CMS that is powered by MovableType.

I’m hooked on your RSS feed. I think Nathan Borror sent me here 1st. Between you and Nathan, I think i might have to take the leap of faith and getmyself a mac. That 12″ G4 looks tasty! Is it ok to design sites on with only a 12″ screen ? The other thing is that ive been looking to get a digital camera and after seeing the results of your G3 and finding out that they don’t cost that much I might have to get one on them. I’d be getting a fisheye lense for mine. I love fish eye!

Tim… my 12″ PowerBook is incredible! I have not yet designed a site on it, but I assume it would be just fine because it has a 1024×768 resolution, the same res. that I’ve been using on my PC for the last few years. With a little customization and some helpful apps, such as LaunchBar, you can make the 12″ suit your needs perfectly. I also absolutely love my PowerShot G3. Canon has discontinued them because they now have the G5 and Pro1, so you’re probably right that you can find an inexpensive G3.

Sports site, not bad, good design.
But advertisements above the header? Terrible idea, very confusing.
