On Friday morning, at 7:00 AM, I was stuck with an IV that quickly put my to sleep, and woke up about an hour later having lost a few ounces of weight in wisdom. I have since been icing/heating my chipmunk face, slurping down puddings and soups (that only seem to taste like blood), and popping lots of prescription drugs. Here’s a photo of my dog, Stanley, an English Setter. He’s been chill-axin’ with me while I recover. Good boy, Stan.

10..9..8….7………6 zZZzzZZzzZZ (the doc’s made me count backwards from 10 when they gassed me before)

That’s exactly what happened to me, moxsum. And mine were about as bad as you can get.
Feel better, Adam. And you can do without the Vikadin.

Hope you feel better!
Stan is a beautiful dog. Nice pic.

Ah, wisdom teeth. Should have guessed.
My sister, though, has the worst wisdom teeth story ever. Her mouth healed from the top down, instead of from the bottom up, and she ended up with an infected mouth every ten days for about six months.
Or maybe it just seemed like six months.
Encouraging, eh?

Nothing beats a warm afternoon with Dry Sockets (jk I hated it ! ) . . . my girlfriend had to get surgery done on her because it got all infected . . . I think it also had to do with the way it healed.

Yeah. I had two of mine taken out – horrible. I didn’t take any sleeping stuff, though.

Horrible stories :(
I had to get my top two wisdom teeth pulled when I was pregnant…so they could only use a small dose of local freezing.
I must of been lucky, I just felt the sucking motion of my teeth being pulled out; not painful at all. I recommend my dentist to everyone I know ;)
My bottoms are coming up now, I don’t know if I’ll need to get them yanked or not.

Thanks, everyone! It’s been about 80 hours since the surgery, and I’d say I’m healing pretty nicely. I’ve noticed that the swelling is slowly going down, and I’m hoping that when I wake up tomorrow morning it’ll be nearly gone. Sorry to everyone that had bad wisdom teeth experiences! :(

Argh – I can happily say (touchwood!) that I’ve never had to go through the pain of having any teeth pulled… unlike my sis who has had both her bottom wisdom’s done twice – they grew back!
