Laces

Sorry to everyone that hasn’t necessarily been enjoying some of my most recent photographs. I’ve simply been trying to experiment with various styles and tones. I’d like to say that it’s completely fine to hate my photos, but, please, if you’re going to tell me so, don’t just say “I don’t like it” and leave. That kind of hurts and serves no purpose but to make me feel bad. “I don’t like it because…” would be far more constructive.

I used to have a boss who would say, “I don’t like that.” I’d ask why and he’d say, “I don’t know, but make some changes and then let me look at it.” Boy was that frustrating!

I like the photos you’ve been sharing. Definitely good composition if nothing else.

In case it is any comfort: I like your pictures.
(Not any more constructive than “I don’t like them,” but still true.)

Great picture, Adam!

Well, Adam – I must say you do good work :)…how in the world did you make those laces actually look interesting?

But seriously, I really do like this picture.

hi adam. I looked up my last name today on Google, and your name came up. I have heard about an Adam Polselli going to school at USF, and was wondering if that was you.

I live in Rhode Island, and was wondering if you knew anyone in the Fall River / RI / MA area.

Just wanted to say hello. Your pictures are crazy-beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Your photos are amazing! The cemetery series really passed a sad and dark feeling, the way it should. Your macros are really amazing and I always get impressed with their quality.

I also would like to say that you being so young also gives me a lot of inspiration to try and be someone special, not only for my internet friends but also for my real life friends. Perhaps this is because you’re my age… :)

Keep up the perfect work!

Not that you called for it, but your photos are great. Photos are meant to convey a feeling, and yours do that quite well. I can’t stand people that criticize for the sake of criticizing… Annoys the hell out of me.

Wow, I really like this one. Not that I’ve smoked pot or anything, but when I looked at the picture in the darkness last night, it was as if the laces were coming towards me.

Even though it’s a still photo, it feels very lively. The lighting and shadows are GREAT!

I’ve been watching your site now for a good couple of months & there is very little stuff that I haven’t thought was awesome. You make me want to try harder to look at the world in a different way.

I love your works. I love this photo. It is almost like 3D; it jumps at you the first time. Macro photo with so much depth. Excellent work!

I admit to not liking your previous picture (in fact, I’m thinking I was one of the people who triggered you to write the text for this picture – if so, sorry), but this one’s a lot better.

It’s a Shoe – not something you think of when you imagine a great picture. However, you’ve done an excellent job of capturing the detail, and the blue/white contrast works well. I’ve always loved your Macro shots, and this one’s just as good.

Feet, shoes, laces!! Wonderful!

First off, I’ve been visiting your site for a few months and I really enjoy it. Keep sharing your art for art’s sake. I’m a recent college grad, and nothing stifled my creativity more than listening to people who told me they didn’t understand my art, or that it wouldn’t sell. I didn’t paint a picture or share my photos for over a year. And then I thought – forget them. Who cares if anyone likes it or not?

So don’t sell out. Keep taking pictures, keep sharing them, and know that even if someone doesn’t like a photo, that same photo is speaking to someone else.
