I wasn’t convinced that Apple was going to respond to the many complaints about bugs and glitches in iPhoto 5, but today I was pleased to see version 5.0.1 available when I checked Software Update. Now that everything is in working order, I’m ready to admit that I’ve really been loving the new iPhoto! I of course still use Photoshop for my photography, but the editing tools are great for everyday snapshots of friends and parties and such. Good stuff!

Wow, great photo. Love the contrast and the lines and curves.
Glad iPhoto 5 is working well for ya. I never liked iPhoto 4 much, but I haven’t had a chance to try v5 yet.

Adam, love this picture. The repeated three chairs and three blocks in the windows glass is lovely. (Even if not intended). Plus the lighting is great, another awesome scene.

I have to ask Adam, do you in essence just walk up to something and go ‘ohh that would make a good photo, *click*’ and you end up with awesome array of shots? What do you use for a camera these days?

Dude!!! This photo Rocks!!!
The Ambiance and uniformity are quite evident! Did you set this shot up yourself or did you just stumble upon it the way it is?
Either way well done Adam!
I can’t recall if I’ve ever mentioned this, but I’m a photographer as well. ;-)

Thanks, all!
Alistair, that’s actually exactly how I end up with all of these photos. I’ll have my camera with me, I’ll be somewhere like a garden or a big building, and I’ll just slowly walk around and observe the scene. Whatever catches my eye becomes victim to my camera! I’m still using the Canon Powershot G3 that I started with.

Adam,
I’m not to familiar with the Canon Powershot G3… Does it support shooting in Canon’s native RAW image format?
Adam Polselli on Feb 4th 05
Yup, it does support RAW. (Although, I don’t think iPhoto 5 can import them from a G3.)
Brian Radford on Feb 7th 05
That’s a plus! Have you had a chance to test Adobe’s new Digital Negative (DNG) format out?
