Morning Glare

I took this shot during the winter months from my dorm room. It reminds me of waking up on those cold mornings with the sun shining through, and dreading the walk to class.

Reflection in Floor

The 20-inch Apple display that I ordered last week finally got here on Monday. It has been an absolute joy to use, especially compared to the 12-inch, duller display that graces my PowerBook.

This shot was taken in U of M’s Rackham Hall.

Yellow Rose

Roses are all over my house lately, so here’s another shot of a nice golden one. Playing with the levels wasn’t giving me the desired results, so I did a Select > Color Range and grabbed some shadows, then simply darkened those areas using the Brightness/Contrast menu.

Water Drops

I finally pulled the macro lenses out again this morning and had some fun. Here’s a shot of some raindrops left over from the night before.

Pink Buds

These are the same buds that were on the tree in the shot I posted a few days ago. I’m sure you guys will find this photo more pleasant than the last.

Bloody Sink

You know you’re a photographer when… Situation #37: You get a bloody nose and your primary concern is not to stop the bleeding, but instead to capture the mess with your digital camera.

From Under a Tree

I took this shot from under a tree that was covered with thousands of these little pink buds. They created a beautiful canopy from beneath, and the sun shining through was the perfect final touch. I’ve gotten a bit more of the site done, but it could be a few more days before the articles section is finished.
