Emerald Green Leaves

Today I am a quarter of the way through my second semester, and I feel like I only just got settled into my courses. It just goes to show how fast college really does go by. February is just a few days away, with spring break falling in the February to March transition, followed by Easter at the end of March, then classes for only half of April, the last half being exams, and finally I’m out for a four month summer break. Wow.

Cemetery in Autumn

Typically, a shot like this would depress me, but now we’re far enough into winter that I can stop looking back at fall and start looking forward to spring. *Sigh of relief.*

iPod shuffle has been great. iLife ‘05 has been alright. iPhoto 5 has been buggy… sunova glitch! *Tomato smacks me in the head.*

Pool Waterfall

I endured the crowds this morning at the International Auto Show in Detroit. It was pretty great, as always, but not much has changed about the show in the last couple years. I think it’s losing some of its prestige to other auto shows, a perfect example being the elegant Geneva show in Switzerland. Still, there was some pretty great stuff to be seen. My favorites? The Range Rover Sport, the BMW M5, and the Mercedes SLR McLaren, a machine with a $450,000 price tag.

Leaf III

Ya-hoo! I got shipment confirmations from Apple last night for both my iPod shuffle and iLife ‘05. I didn’t want to wait any longer than necessary for the shuffle, so I had it overnighted and it will be here today when I get back from class. What bad timing, though. I’m so busy this weekend, and if iLife gets here on Saturday as promised, my homework is going to be taking a backseat!

Bathroom Door

I am very excited about iPhoto 5, particularly the fact that it supports RAW, a format that I’ll likely start using once I get my copy of iLife ‘05. The only problem I have with iPhoto is that when you edit a photo, it edits the original file. For the average person that’s fine, but I prefer to keep the original files intact. Besides the “Duplicate” function, I haven’t found a very efficient way of going about this. Anyone care to share some tips?

Fallen Vase

Please welcome the newest member of my family: Wacom Graphire3 4×5. I picked it up yesterday and have already spent way too many homework hours playing with it.

By the way, I was at the Apple Store yesterday, and they sold out of iPod shuffles on Friday – the first day they had them. As everyone predicted, those things are selling like hot cakes.

Leaf II

Today marks the last day of my four-day weekend. Yep, four days. Not only do I have today, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, off, but I also had Friday off because I officially do not have any Friday classes for the rest of the semester. Woo!

Centaur Statue

For the last month or so, I’ve been struggling to update the site’s design, but all of my ideas were scrapped within their first hour or two of existence.

Finally realizing that I was never going to come up with a layout that I like more than this one, I decided to focus my attention on the site’s identity and colors.
