Auschwitz

Tomorrow morning I am headed to Krakow, Poland where we will be staying for two nights and also visiting the Auschwitz concentration camp. I am grateful that I will have the chance to visit such a place, but also very anxious after having visited Terezin, a smaller camp in the Czech Republic that served a similar purpose. During the visit to Terezin, it felt as if every drop of hope, happiness, had been sucked out of me. The tour guide said that it was a good build up to the Auschwitz experience, which she described as far more “hardcore.” I will be back in Prague Sunday night.
