Ang Lee gets NC-17 rating Ang Lee’s latest film, Lust, Caution, which is scheduled to premiere in September at the Toronto International Film Festival, has received the feared NC-17 rating from the MPAA. Focus Features is not going to re-cut the film — something that many studios do in order to get the less severe R rating — and has instead decided to accept the rating. I say good for them. The vision of a director like Ang Lee should never be censored.

GRRRRRR. Stupid MPAA. I’m guessing this means I will not be able to find a single theater in my small Southern town showing the film.
