Magtable Coffee Table Another great design from Umbra, this table perfectly combines form and function to become an extremely usable piece of furniture. Slots in the table’s top double as hangers for magazines, newspapers, comic books, and so forth.

We’re All a Bunch of Monkeys The greatest thing I’ve watched all week (besides, perhaps, In the Bedroom (2001), which I saw last night and was fantastic). It’s a short clip, so watch it you’ve got a couple minutes. My favorite line, regarding humans: “In fact, they’re the only animals that think they’re supposed to be happy. All of the other animals can just be.”

$100 for early iPhone adopters Wow. I’m shocked. In an open letter published today, Steve Jobs offers $100 of Apple credit to all customers that purchased an iPhone before $200 were hacked off the asking price. Yesterday, in a post that I deleted soon after because I felt whiny, I wrote that Apple should offer at least $100 to the early adopters. Looks like Steve is doing just that. As has been said elsewhere, it’s not the actual price drop that disappointed people, but the fact that it dropped 200 bucks only 10 weeks after its release. Now that’s some great customer service.

Bike culture in Amsterdam When I was in Amsterdam earlier this month, this is one of the things about the city that most caught my attention. So many bikers! It was fantastic. And many of them were professionally dressed businessmen and women. I swear, I even saw bike traffic. Instead of bumper-to-bumper, it was wheel-to-wheel.
